LEBANON, Tenn. -- The Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team remained winless at the Cumberland University Classic with a pair of losses Saturday.

The Blue Raiders were defeated 3-0 in both matches as they struggled in the second day of the event. Lindsey Wilson (2-12, 2-2 MSC) fell to Bethel (Tenn.) College 15-25, 14-25 and 18-25 in the first game and was beaten by Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University 9-25, 16-25 and 19-25 in the second.

Against Bethel (10-1), freshman Ashley Hayworth led the Blue Raiders with nine kills. Senior setter Sarah Kline produced an overall strong performance with 13 assists and six digs.

Bethel's combination of Jessica Vieira and Thaise Vieira was too much for LWC as they blasted 11 kills each.

Lindsey Wilson never got into a rhythm against Trevecca (11-5), as they were limited to just 23 kills for the match, compared to 39 successful attacks for the Trojans. Haworth paced the Blue Raiders with seven kills.

Sophomore Alyca Morrison added 15 digs for Lindsey Wilson.

The Blue Raiders look to improve their 2-2 conference record at 6 p.m. CT on Monday, Sept. 21 against Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Ky.
