BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - After dropping the first set 9-25, the Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team fought back with a pair of 22-25, 17-25 efforts before falling to Union (Ky.) College 3-0 on Tuesday at Robsion Arena.

The Blue Raiders dropped to 6-22 with the loss, while Union improved to 19-3 on the season.

Lindsey Wilson struggled to attack throughout the match, finishing with a .009 hitting percentage. Junior Racheal Achieng led the Blue Raiders in kills with seven, followed by sophomore Samantha Camp tallying five.

Senior Sarah Kline was effective on defense and passing the ball, collecting 14 assists and 11 digs. Sophomore Alyca Morrison matched Kline with 11 digs.

Union posted a .213 hitting percentage, connecting on 40 of 122 attempts. Meg Donnelly gave the Bulldogs double-digit performances in kills (10) and digs (10), while Monica Moreland dished out a match-high 36 assists.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 8 p.m. CT on Oct. 20 against St. Catharine College at Biggers Sports Center. The match is the first of three straight home contests for the Blue Raiders.
