COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College signed Natalie Sneed to a letter of intent for the women's golf program, the school announced on Thursday.

The Columbia, Ky., native will join the Blue Raiders for the 2010-11 school year.

"Lindsey Wilson is in my hometown and I've always been a big fan of the college and their sporting events," said Sneed. "From when I was little, when I started gold, I knew I wanted to play at Lindsey Wilson. They have a great women's program and coach (Chris) Wells is a great coach, they have always done really well."

The Adair County High School product finished eighth out of a field of 111 golfers last season at the Kentucky Invitational Tournament. Sneed's score of 78 led the Lady Indians to a 10th-place finish out of 21 teams at the invitational.

"I can't wait to get to Lindsey Wilson and help the team win by shooting low and doing whatever it takes to win out of the course," added Sneed

The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team is currently ranked No. 7 in the NAIA Coaches' Poll. The Blue Raiders won four of five events during the fall season, including top honors in the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament in Campbellsville, Ky., in September.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on March 27-28 in the Northern Kentucky University Spring Fling held at Perry Park Golf Course in Owenton, Ky.
