GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The Lindsey Wilson College cycling team posted top-five finishes in all three disciplines at DePauw (Ind.) University on March 13-14. The Blue Raiders finished second in the team time trials and criterium races and posted a fourth-place finish in the road race.
Lindsey Wilson tallied 315 points in the time trials, finishing behind Marian (Ind.) University with 425 points. The Blue Raiders posted the winning time in the men's "A" division (12 minutes and 17 seconds) and men's "D" division (13:52). Lindsey Wilson clocked in the second fastest men's "B" time of 13:23.
Leading the Blue Raiders to a second-place finish in the crit were men's "B" riders Matt Dooley and Scott Hoffner finishing first and second, respectively. Dooley earned 41 points, while Hoffner collected 35 for his finish. Kip Spaude finished fifth in the men's "A" race, while Sarah Lukas paced the women's "A" finishers in eighth place.
Allie Dragoo posted a top-three finish, coming in second in the women's "B-C" crit while Taylor Ladd also finished second in the men's "D" race.
Indiana University finished first in the road race, followed by Marian and University of Wisconsin-Madison rounding out the top three. Leading the Blue Raiders to their fourth-place finish was Kip Spaude, finishing third in the men's "A" race, collecting 63 points. Clayton Omer was the next Lindsey Wilson finishes, crossing the line in 15th place.
Finishing in the top 10 of the women's "A" field was Kelsey Markham in 10th place, collecting 26 team points. Lukas and Brooke Crum finished 21st and 22nd, respectively.
Michael Palevo took 10th place in the men's "B" road race, collecting nine points, while Dragoo finished 11th in the women's "B-C" race.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on March 20-21 at the Lindenwood University road race in St. Charles, Mo.
