COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Ally Goniea was named player of the week, while Morgan Paschall earned pitcher of the week honors to give the Lindsey Wilson College softball team a sweep of the Mid-South Conference Softball weekly awards, the conference announced on Monday.

The awards are the first of the season and first career conference honors for Goniea and Paschall.

Goniea went 7-for-17 (.412) at the plate with a home run and eight RBI to take MSC Player of the Week honors.

The Falcon, Col., junior catcher, added three doubles and posted a .765 slugging percentage to help the Blue Raiders record six straight wins last week.

Paschall won four times in the circle last week and did not allow a run to earn MSC Pitcher of the Week honors.

The Nolensville, Tenn., native tallied 23 strikeouts in 21 innings, while allowing 15 hits and just four walks on the week.

Lindsey Wilson extended its winning streak to seven straight games and is now 13-4 overall this season and a perfect 6-0 in MSC play.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Wednesday, March 17 at Campbellsville (Ky.) University.
