GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College baseball team's season ended today with a 5-2 loss to Georgetown (Ky.) College in the opening series of the Mid-South Conference Tournament at Robert N. Wilson Field.

The Blue Raiders end their season with a 30-25 record.

Georgetown used a four-run fourth inning to grab the early lead and never looked back. The Tigers batted around in the inning off senior starter Max Rhodes, who allowed five hits in the inning. Rhodes finished the game allowing five run on seven hits in his 4-1/3 innings of work.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore Jeremy Greene finished the game allowing just two hits over the last 4-2/3 innings.

After a Georgetown run in the top of the fifth, Lindsey Wilson scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning to close within three runs.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore Lance Harrington singled and later scored on Rhodes' fielder choice to cut the deficit to 5-1. LWC's Garrett Helm scored two batters later on one of Georgetown's three errors.

Lindsey Wilson managed just four hits off starter K.C. Massie, who went the distance for the Tigers. Massie allowed a single earned run and struck out six Blue Raider hitters for the game.

Georgetown advances into next week's final four at Campbellsville (Ky.) University.
