DECATUR, Ala. -- Concordia (Ore.) University starter Danielle Pulfrey was pulled before the end of the first inning after three walks and two passed balls gave Lindsey Wilson College an early 3-0 lead en route to a 6-2 win in the NAIA Softball National Championship on Saturday at the Wilson Morgan Softball Complex.

The Blue Raiders, now 1-1 in pool play at the championship, return to action at noon CT on Monday against Bellevue (Neb.) University. Bellevue plays Simon Fraser (B.C.) University - who beat Lindsey Wilson 2-0 on Thursday - at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Morgan Paschall earned the win for the Blue Raiders, pitching the complete game with three strikeouts, while scattering just three hits. Paschall had a no hitter going until midway through the sixth inning.

Second baseman Jordan Gilland paced the Blue Raider offense, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Right fielder Megan Huckaby finished with a hit, two runs scored and drew two walks.

Lindsey Wilson finished with eight hits for six runs, while Concordia collected three hits. Neither team recorded an error in the field.

First baseman Cameron Way recorded the bulk of the Cavs' offense, finishing 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs.

Renee Santos - who entered for Pulfrey in the first inning - finished with 13 strikeouts, while scattering eight hits in the loss.

The first inning set the tone for the Blue Raider win as left fielder Alexis Rodgers led off with a walk, followed by another free pass to Huckaby. Third baseman Jamie Williams was hit by a pitch to load the bases, then Pulfrey threw a wild pitch with catcher Ally Goniea at the plate that scored Rodgers for a 1-0 lead.

Another wild pitch in the same at bat scored Huckaby, and then Goniea was walked to load the bases again. At that point, Pulfrey left the game for Santos and Gilland gave her a bad start after ripping a single down the left field line to score Williams and give the Blue Raiders a 3-0 lead.

The Lindsey Wilson rally continued into the second inning with two more runs and the Blue Raiders added an insurance run in the fifth inning to take a 6-0 lead.
