Madison Mills signs on as a distance specialist for the women's track & field team.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Two-time Kentucky State Track Meet qualifier Madison Mills from Daviess Co. High School signed an NAIA scholarship with the Lindsey Wilson College women's track & field team, the school announced on Friday.

Blue Raider Head Coach Edwin Hagans plans to use Mills in distance events, an area where she has competed for a state title in the 3,200-meter run in 2009 and 2007.

Mills set a personal record in the 3,200-meter run at the state meet in 2007 with a time of 11 minutes and 55.77 seconds, finishing sixth overall.

The Owensboro, Ky., native set a personal record in the 1,600-meter run this season with a time of 5:58.02. Mills' record in the 800-meter run was set in 2007 with a time of 2:37.25 at the Eastern Relays at the University of Louisville (Ky.).
