COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The top-ranked and defending national champion Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer team opens its 2010 campaign against Saint Xavier (Ill.) University at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday, Aug. 21 at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

The Blue Raiders hold an 8-1-0 series advantage against the Cougars, including a 3-0 win last season on Aug. 22.

Lindsey Wilson is ranked No. 1 for the first time since the final 2008 poll (Nov. 16), bumping out Bethel (Tenn.) University from the top spot after the Wildcats were the top-ranked team for the entire 2009 season.

With First Team All-American sophomore Lebogang Moloto and 2009 NAIA National Championship MVP Chris Williams returning, the Blue Raiders are on a 12-game unbeaten streak.

Saint Xavier finished 13-5-1 last season after falling 3-2 to Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University in the CCAC Tournament semifinals.
