COLUMBIA, Ky. -- After finishing fourth at the Mid-South Conference Women's Cross Country Championship last season, the Blue Raiders were picked to finish fifth in the 2010 MSC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) is the team to beat, receiving 74 voting points from the conference coaches, including five first-place votes after winning the league title last season. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Newcomer to the conference, Shawnee State (Ohio) University, is projected to finish second with 72 voting points, while University of Rio Grande (Ohio) is predicted to finish third with 64 points. Campbellsville (Ky.) University is fourth with 59 points.

Lindsey Wilson (53 voting points), Georgetown (Ky.) College (43), Pikeville (Ky.) College (29), University of Virginia's College at Wise (22), St. Catharine (Ky.) College (18) and West Virginia University Tech (16) complete the preseason poll.

The MSC Championships are scheduled for Nov. 6 in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Lindsey Wilson's season is set to start at 7 a.m. CT on Sept. 11 at the Centre College Invitational in Danville, Ky., where the Blue Raiders finished third last season.
