COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The fourth ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team is the preseason favorite according to the Mid-South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.

The Blue Raiders -- the defending 2009 conference regular-season and tournament champion -- received 64 voting points, including eight first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Lindsey Wilson has won 10 straight MSC Regular-Season Championships and eight straight conference tournament titles. The Blue Raiders advanced to the NAIA Quarterfinals last season before being ousted by Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) University 2-0 on Dec. 2, 2009.

University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) and Georgetown (Ky.) College both received 53 voting points to tie for second in the preseason poll. Cumberlands received the final first-place vote.

Campbellsville (Ky.) University is projected to finish fourth in the conference after receiving 42 points, while MSC newcomer Shawnee State (Ohio) University is fifth with 34 points.

West Virginia University Tech is sixth in the poll with 27 points, while Pikeville (Ky.) College (22 points), St. Catharine (Ky.) College (17) and University of Rio Grande (Ohio) (12) complete the preseason poll.

The 2010 MSC Tournament's semifinals and finals are scheduled for Nov. 11-12 at Rio Grande, Ohio after the first rounds are played at various campus sites.
