COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College senior forward Carnell Learmond has been selected the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Learmond scored a career-high four goals in the only Blue Raider game of the week to earn the weekly award. The Clarendon, Jamaica, native, scored four straight goals as Lindsey Wilson defeated host Pikeville College 6-0.
Learmond leads the MSC after the first week of play in both points (8) and goals scored (4) on the season.
The conference player of the week award is the of Learmond's career.
No. 1-ranked Lindsey Wilson is 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in the MSC. The Blue Raiders return to action on Sept. 5 as they travel to St. Charles. Mo., to face Graceland (Iowa) University in the Lindenwood (Mo.) University Classic.
