GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Ranked No. 18 in the country in today's NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, Georgetown (Ky.) College lived up to its billing, sweeping Lindsey Wilson College 3-0 at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym in the Mid-South Conference opener for both teams.

Apart from the Tigers taking apart Lindsey Wilson 25-9 in the second set, the Blue Raiders put together an impressive showing in the first and second sets, losing 25-17 and 25-19 respectively.

Freshman Audra McNabney led Lindsey Wilson with seven kills and nine digs, while the next highest attackers were sophomore Ashlie Haworth and newcomer Haley Barnes with three kills each. Barnes and McNabney were also credited with a solo block in the loss.

Georgetown got its biggest lift from Kelsey Luckett with 10 kills in 22 attempts for a .182 hitting percentage. Emily Weber was just as impressive, tallying nine kills in 18 attempts for a .333 mark.

Three Tigers sent in two service aces each, while Elizabeth Goodin was the leading passer in the match with 31 assists. Sophomore Andrea Taylor led the Blue Raiders in assists with nine.

As a team, Georgetown hit for a .294 percentage (41-of-85), while Lindsey Wilson struggled to a -.012 mark (18-of-84).

Lindsey Wilson returns to action in its home opener at 7 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Sept. 14 against Campbellsville (Ky.) University at Biggers Sports Center.
