
Bill Shook begins his first season as the volleyball coach at Lindsey Wilson College in 2009-10.
Shook comes to Lindsey Wilson after leading the Piedmont College volleyball program in 2008 and a 10-year volleyball coaching stint at Mars Hill College. He also served as tennis assistant coach for four years while at Mars Hill.
Shook led Piedmont to a 25-7 record and a runner-up finish in the Great South Athletic Conference last season. He averaged more than 16 wins per year in his decade at Mars Hill.
Shook's volleyball experience extends beyond collegiate coaching. He served as apprentice coach for the USA women's volleyball team prior to the Olympics in 1992 (Barcelona) and 1995 (Atlanta). He also has extensive experience at the club level through working camps throughout the nation, including in Louisville.
Earlier this year, Shook became just the fourth male coach to be inducted into the Howard County, Md., Women's Athletics Hall of Fame.
Shook guided Centennial High School volleyball to seven county championships and four state titles in nine years. His volleyball teams amassed a 174-25 record. He led the Centennial tennis program to a 127-13 record while collecting eight county titles and three state titles, including coaching two state doubles champions.

Marcy Robbins begins her first season at Lindsey Wilson College as a graduate assistant with the volleyball program.
Robbins arrives at Lindsey Wilson after four years as a volleyball student-athlete. Robbins spent three seasons at Franklin (Ind.) College, an NCAA Division III member and one season at Marian (Ind.) College of the NAIA.
As team captain at Franklin College, Robbins was named a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week. She led the squad with a 3.37 kills per game average, while also contributing 313 digs in 2007.
