The team advanced to the NAIA National Championship for the first time in school history finishing 2-1 in pool play. The Blue Raiders lone loss during the national championships came to the eventual national champion Simon Fraser (B.C) University 2-0 in pool play. The Blue Raiders recorded wins against fourth-ranked Concordia (Ore.) University 6-2 and Bellevue (Neb.) University 5-0.

McCool's first team at Lindsey Wilson finished the season with 47-14 overall record and 22-6 mark in conference play.

The 47 wins broke the program record of 41 wins set during the 2000 season. The Blue Raiders also broke the program's single-season record with 24 home wins during the season.

McCool led Lindsey Wilson to its first MSC regular season title and its first conference tournament title since the 2005 season. During the MSC Tournament, the Blue Raiders outscored their opponents 30-10 en route to the title.

In addition to setting the program record in total wins and home wins, McCool's pitching staff set the program mark for most strikeouts in a single season with 586 Ks during the season.

The Blue Raider hurlers also tied a program mark with 14 shutouts in 2010.

Prior to arriving at Lindsey Wilson, McCool served as the assistant coach at Lee (Tenn.) University.

McCool helped Lee to a 39-14 record and a share of the Southern States Athletic Conference regular-season championship in 2009. Prior to Lee, McCool spent two seasons as the head coach at Antioch High School.

As a student-athlete, McCool helped Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University to a pair of top-five finishes at the NAIA Softball World Series.

She was selected as the TranSouth Conference and NAIA Region XI Player of the Year in 2006 and concluded her career as a four-time all-conference performer. She ranks in the program's top-five in hits, doubles, runs batted in, home runs and batting average.
